What is restorative yoga?

Restorative Yoga is a very gentle form of yoga, using blankets and bolsters to support the body allowing tight muscles to release into a state of deep relaxation and healing.

The class will begin with gentle stretching and movements to warm the muscles, creating space in the body and allowing all of the restlessness and busy-ness of the day to dissolve.

The slow pace and deep breathing activates the parasympathetic nervous system  - allowing the body to come to a place of stillness and calm, releasing tension in the body and mind at a cellular level.

Student testimonial:

“Spending long lengths of time in very comfortable postures feels luxurious and healing. I love this workshop, for me it's an indulgence of heart centered loving kindness, a wonderful time of self care. This is a class I never want to miss!”
